About/Contact

SolaVida is a grassroots non-profit founded in 2013 by Dan Quinlan. Our Mission Statement is on the Home page. By aligning with other organizations, and supported by a wide group of volunteers, SolaVida is committed to engaging on the ground – acting as a “small but mighty think-and-do tank.” Roam around on the site to see what we have been up to.

Dan Quinlan is the founder and Executive Director of SolaVida. Dan is active in various capacities with multiple organizations across the US working on climate change and clean energy. That work spans policy/program campaign design and management, organization launch and management, finance, and strategy for-profit and non-profit organizations. In recent years, he has been very engaged with networks of people who are working at the intersections of advocacy, public policy, civic engagement, community building, and philosophy/spirituality.

Given our size (financial and otherwise), we have a small three person Board of Directors. In addition to Dan, Todd Brower has more than 40 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems with general corporate and regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and other regulatory matters. In addition, he has worked extensively with trustees of hospitals and nonprofit organizations to enhance board performance and education. Jens Meyer holds multiple advanced degrees in engineering. Dr. Meyer’s professional interests focus on signal processing and real time audio implementations. He has authored a wide array of conference and journal papers, book chapters, and holds several patents.

We are grateful for the support of the individuals who have made the work possible – by donating their time, sweat, and creativity. Over the years, we are thankful for the financial support of the UNH Sustainability Institute, the High Meadows Fund, the Grassroots Fund, the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health, and individual donors.
