“Early in my career, I was a research scientist at Bell Laboratories – where a talk about rising global temperatures was my introduction to climate change. That talk was given by David Thomson, a widely respected mathematician who had been asked to objectively analyze the global temperature record. At the time, none of us in the audience appreciated the implications of that talk – and what it meant for the planet and all of us. Backed by the global scientific community, leading voices like James Hansen, Bill McKibben and Al Gore have since made it abundantly clear.”
